The binder "Awarding Data" is for astern compatibility,the real binder is now at a dissimilar place.

The fastest way to get to the binder is to enter "%APPDATA%" in explorer.

Else you can manually browse to C:\Users\{Your User Name}\AppData\Roaming

Thanks for your answer, that path does not take me to the AIPrefs folder. – I want to change 'Open Contempo Files' from 5 to brand it 25.

On the Adobe Customs forum, there is direction for XP:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Information\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version] Settings\en_US\AIPrefs

change 10 to whatever you want: /maxRecentFiles 10

And then I tried this, simply ofcourse I cannot access Documents and Settings.

And if I try C:\Users\{Your User Name}\AppData\Roaming/Adobe/ Adobe Illustrator [version] Settings/en GB

-there is no AIPrefs binder

In that location does not appear to be, in that location certainly is no way inside Adobe in the Adobe Preferences / General, User Interfaces etc. – I was surprised by that too. Only equally you lot could alter that Recent File number in previous versions of Windows, I'm guessing it however tin be done? I have questions going in the Adobe Community too, but the Adobe Community are not on meridian of things every bit much as they are here at Microsoft!! And y'all tin forget request Adobe themselves.
